I have been reading parts of Zecharia Sitchin's Stairway to Heaven.

It seems to me that this is a summary of a large number of ancient documents detailing the search for the Fountain of Eternal Life throughout history.

It also gives really good descriptions of the 'Gods', their interaction with man, and their means of travel. These documents (including The Bible) come from all over the world and often back each other up although some of the names of people and places are similar but not exactly the same.

For people who think the ancient texts are just mythological stories, you need to read some of this stuff as the similarities of stories told across the world are amazing and probably beyond coincidence.

I am not going to tell you to dismiss ancient writings. But when there is a group of us today and we witness an event; many of us will not agree on what we just saw. Then you toss in years before the events were put into text and how the interpreters do not always agree; then there is more than enough room for error. Of course there is always a chance that there is factual information hidden in those old texts; but which part is factual and which part is fiction. When one story corroborates another it has led archeologist in the right direction to find ancient runes. That said not all ancient runes have been found; maybe some stories were fiction or distorted to the point where they were useless?

We also have a group that simply did not have the whole picture when they made statements like (from your link): "I am Kosh, the king of the world, the conqueror who crossed this lake." When rulers did not know of other continents and cultures it is very possible that they thought they conquered the world.

Glowing eyes can be explained by the sculptures and painters sometimes using gold leaf that reflected the sun.

When it came to immortality; everybody wants to cheat death. If it was possible, that some people were selected as 'gods', then you would think some of them would still be around today.

As far as coincidence: Our ancient ancestors loved to trade and to have access to the newest foods, fabrics, technology and stories about far away places. It is only natural that some stories seemed similar; but not quite so similar. They were simply distortions of repeated stories.

God, as if there are coinky-dinkies...everything works like a Swiss Watch...all the gears are turning perfectly...
when you exp it, then you know what I mean.
It's quite shocking...similar to suddenly dying and coming back to life and remembering stuff you saw.
All is revealed as if in a perfect plan....no coincidences...bogles the logical mind, of course.
Thanks for the link.
