I hear from reliable government secret sources that Mars aliens produce less methane than earth living things. That's why it has been taking sometimes to detect. The government, fearing that such finding would cause a worldwide panic because people can't handle it, has been hiding this for sometimes.

They are not exactly hiding anything... NORAD has a specific name for them (fastwalkers), military also has names for them, EBE is the most common used, Archon, 'santa claus', CBE, are some others. You can find FOIA documents that contain these references, in fact the Black vault has 1000s of Govt/ military documents obtained thru FOIA that pertain to aliens.
Point is, the information IS available and accessible, you are never going to hear some public announcement or disclosure on this though.
I have to wonder when we are going to start terraforming Mars: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terraforming_of_Mars? Unlike the information in that Wikipedia article; I would rather see us send all of our invasive species to Mars. I am sure they would transform the surface in no time at all!
