Sounds like they have the suspect in custody. We should find out what this was all about in a day or so. You think?
All this for one suspect is so X-Files. It really is an interesting and strange situation. At any rate even uf its not aliens or paranormal, you can bet the public will never be given the full story given the hubbub here.

You can bet there'll be an element of the public who wont believe they've gotten the full story. There will always be room for doubt, regardless of how candid the government is.

Which government do you know which is candid? I dont know any.

Well, I worked for the US government for over 43 years, and we were always pretty upfront about things. If I told you which agency you'd never believe me though.
The ones you really have to worry about are the politicians. I don't think they know what the truth is.

My crystal ball says you're an Aerospace Engineer!
Say we had a rocket club back in the 1950's with a military crate as a blockhouse - does that count? Everything back then was 'home made' and we did get a full half mile from some of our launches. Space was not that far away!

If they didn't want a suspect to know they were on his/her trail, why did they make a big show of it with helicopters and evacuations and FBI agents running around? You'd think they'd be a bit more ... subtle. But then, that's probably giving them a lot more credit than they deserve. What they've done is create a lasting suspicion that there's something more sinister going on. Even if they say "nothing to see here, we probably mishandled the security aspect" you're going to see conspiracy theorists ruminating on this one for months or years to come.

I absolutely agree with your post.
I don't for one minute believe what the article states about why it was shut down.
There are only two viable explanations as to why the FBI shut it down.
Suspected terrorist, or foreign country compromised the facility, or alien intervention of some kind.
Either way, it will never be known.
Originally I felt it could not have had anything to do with alien intervention, but the more I read about what has been made public, the more I feel the FBI is hiding something.
If it were some terrorist organization, that would have been made public, regardless of what was involved.
Any time something involving terrorism is suspected in this country, it always makes it's way to the media.
No, something happened that was important enough to bring out the FBI, and their unusual secrecy is something that needs to be explored further.
Or it was all a diversion from what was really going on somewhere else in the state.
Keep your eyes on the black, flying helicopter......
