Perhaps if they're in modern-day garb, we don't recognize them as ghosts as quickly.
I truly hate being unoriginal in my experiences, but the one sighting I had was a young woman who was indeed sporting Victorian-era fashions.
Ghosts usually present themselves wearing what they wore in life, so a ghost in Victoria era clothing, was most likely living in that era.
My ghosts who were wearing modern clothes, were not recognizable as ghosts . . . not only because their clothing was modern, but because they looked as solid as any living human.
By Rule #34, there is probably naked ghost porn out there but I'm not going to look for it. Really, I'm not. And by the way, why are there no Cro-Magnon or Neanderthal ghosts?
Maybe it takes them so long to build up enough spectral energy the only ghosts WE CAN SEE have been dead over a century. and all the disco and hippie ghosts aren't strong enough to be seen by the living yet.
Well, I have seen two ghosts, and neither of them were wearing vintage clothing.
I saw both in broad daylight very clearly.
The first was a lady in her fifties or sixties. She had wavy blonde hair that sat rather close to her head and she was slightly plump. She was wearing a modern tunic blouse and pants. The tunic was pale gray and had a silky shine to it. She looked like anyone I would see at the grocery store or in a restaurant, and not give a second look.
It was broad daylight and I was startled to see a stranger in my room! I did not know she was a ghost until she disappeared. She looked like a flesh and blood three-dimensional person.
The second was a man wearing a t-shirt and jeans. I also didn't know this one was a ghost. He walked on my deck past one window, and then didn't appear in the very next window just a few inches away. I thought it was my friend walking on the deck, and waited to see him going past the next window. When nothing happened, I got up and looked, and no one was there.
My friend then came out of another room. He wasn't out on the deck at all. There are no stairs from the ground to the deck, so no stranger can get up there either.
That would suggest to me that they lived during modern times.
I believe ghosts appear based on what they looked like and wore during their lives. For example, there are ghosts that hang around opera houses that have been identified as being a former owner or opera singer and they appear wearing the clothing they wore at the time. I've never read an account of a ghost appearing in clothing from one era when they were identified as living in another era.
If they are from a certain era wouldn't it make sense for them to be wearing the clothing from their time period? I would assume they would be wearing what they wore when they lived. I've never really made out clothing when I have seen a spirit. My son told me once there was a man standing in his doorway wearing a suit and hat and smoking a cigarette once. He was maybe 6-7 years old at the time and when I asked what kind of hat he didn't know a name but after looking at pictures we determined it was a fedora type hat. My friend recently posted this to her Instagram account and it made me laugh.
"EVERY TIME YOU GET DRESSED REMEMBER: IF YOU DIE THAT'S YOUR GHOST OUTFIT FOREVER"
The laws of physics do not support the existence of ghosts? Excuse me, but I can't catch my breath from laughing so hard at the arrogance of that sweeping statement.
Exactly. Ghosts don't have to obey The Law...What are you going to do it you catch them breaking it? Hang them?
Question: If Milton Berle comes back as a ghost, will he be dressed as a man or a woman?
