What year it was may I ask? ( Thanks)

SCIENCE AND RELIGION
There's an even easier explanation: The phenomenon is a fraud. The lies are told to make money selling books and movies and tickets to conventions and seminars. From that point, the power of mass persuasion takes over and other lesser liars step forward to garner their 15 minutes of fame with fantastic stories made up out of whole cloth. The only true innocents are those afflicted with some sort of mental illness parroting fantasies.

That may explain a small percentage of people that have claimed to have experiences, but looking back thru history, these kinds of incidents were happening centuries ago too, there are some really strange ones from the 1300s up thru the 1600s, even the Sumerian civilization recognized these things.

Besides that, the average witness is not out to gain anything, usually they expect the opposite when they speak up about what they have seen, they expect to be ridiculed and be called crazy.

Furthermore, if what you say was true, dont you think we would be seeing a whole lot of extremely good hoaxes or fake sighting videos/pics (especially since computer technology progresses so fast these days), where are all the super high quality fakes, that not even the experts can fault?!
