And no, the old ones have not stopped, but are becoming less frequent

Every night, I have a dream of navigating some type of obstacle course......and each time it is different and sometimes bizarre. There are also young, attractive women involved, but little interaction with them. I always wake up before the end, and cannot remember all of the details. And some of it is so unusual as to have difficulty even finding words to describe it.

Sometimes, I am doing this on foot. Sometimes in a car. Last night I was in a haunted house, trying to find a way out, with instructions to not back track or move anything.
One was a moving train, starting in a red caboose, then having to navigate between cars, some of which had mazes, or dungeons and dragons like room.
Two nights ago, it was a path between two buildings, but if I accidently stepped i to the wrong room....game over.

Each dream has a different setting but more or less the same action, same type of thing. These have been going on for 3 to 4 months now.

I always find dreams interesting, even when they make no sense. But this is getting bothersome. The only night that I did not have the recurring theme was when I spent the entire night dreaming that I was in bed unable to sleep. Then I would wake up, realize it was a dream, then have trouble getting back to sleep, then wake up from That Dream for real, fall asleep for real then dream again that i was unable to sleep. This went on seemingly for the night until the alarm woke me up ....Alexa playing Fin Sheppard warning me of a sharknado.......and I felt exhausted as though I had not slept after dreaming the night away that I could not sleep.

Kind of made the dream about running through a small town trying to find a path from the stadium to the school parking lot comforting by comparison.

Although Freud seems out of favor these days, interpreting your own dreams can be very effectively started by using two of his principles: 1. Think of the dream as some type of wish-fulfillment (even if the dream seems negative on its surface) and 2. Think of the images as they relate to events of the day directly before the dream. This is usually a good starting point and may include some mental acrobatics/origami to recognize the symbolism. Unless done by a trained and experienced professional or someone who knows you extremely intimately, the dreamer is the best interpreter of his/her own dreams once practiced at it.

OR: Get that "Alexa" out of the bedroom and it will stop sub-audibly guiding your dreams when it detects that you are asleep.

Here is my interpretation of your dream. I think your dream is trying to tell you that you are faced with some sort of puzzle or dilemma, even if you are not aware of the puzzle or consciously suppress it. Since all of your dreams involve attractive women, perhaps the dilemma is about them. And stop watching porn...shame on you...dreams about dungeons and trains! I'm kidding. Maybe something happened 3 or 4 months ago that put your mind into this dilemma.

I used to have recurring stress dreams about school, mostly about it being the last day of the semester and me realizing that I had not attended class for months or that I am so far behind in my studies that I will probably fail the course. Very scary, even now when I am done with school.
