Personally if I was sure it was neither me nor critters nor legit visitors, I'd be trying a lot more urgently to rule out the possibility of a living trespasser.
Im 98% sure its not a living trespasser, mainly because its only been my bedroom impacted by this, (which is on the second floor), also, there are material things in the house that a human burglar would be happy to get ahold of, large screen smart tv, nice computer with large monitor, medication, cash, none of which were disturbed at any time.

I donít think people are thinking a burglar, I think they are thinking an unseen human houseguest. There have been cases of squatters living your home and accessing food and bathroom facilities when you arenít there, or sometimes when you are sleeping.

Do you have an attic? Is the access in your bedroom? Have you checked the attic?

The whole attic/basement thing freaks me out. Thatís why we have a crawl space thatís locked, and Iím looking at patio homes for the next home. No basements.

In the US we have over 6 million reported accidents each year. Humans are human; even when we could be seriously injured or die. Every day the average person looses nine items a day. The most common items lost are phones, keys and glasses and we spend an average of ten minutes a day looking for these items. Here are some of the statistics: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...300449305.html.

Before we blame the world both in the real world and beyond; chances are we do not have to look any farther than the reflection in the mirror.

Of course we want to rule out other possibilities; like trespassers.

The upstairs was the attic space in this house, the original owners finished the attic into 2 bedrooms.

Too bad you won't actually hire some paranormal investigators to really do a thorough check. It would be interesting to find out the full extent of all this.

I had a flashlight go missing on my night stand and I blamed my son for taking it...I replaced the flashlight with a spare I had in my drawer and a few weeks later there were 2 flashlights on the nightstand... I blamed my son again for putting it back but he swears he never touched them and I believe him he has no reason to lie and he's a good kid
