I hate to point this out; but Richard Dolan makes his living off UFOs. I don't understand you; you think somebody paid to promote their agenda is credible and somebody that is just trying to protect our Country is usually lying.
Keep in mind that billionaire Robert Bigelow was a good friend of Senator Harry Reid. Harry Reid funneled millions to his friend to investigate. If it wasn't UFOs he would have found another reason; one hand washes the other - if you like conspiracy theories! When you have a powerful US Senator, that was always looking for a fat donation, this fit that bill.

It's called pork barrel spending. It seems to be a required function of congressmen, and is one reason, perhaps the main one, that we have runaway spending in this country. In the case of Reed and Bigelow, Bigelow being the only contractor for AATIP fits that bill.

The OP's article came out June 9th. For such an "interesting read" I have to wonder why they waited? They are always skeptical of our Government; but I am skeptical of people that are paid to promote their own agenda.
You worked for our government; my parents also retired from government jobs. Maybe it is different now; but there was a time and fear, that if the different agencies did not spend their allocations, that they would loose that money forever. So as the end of the fiscal year approached people were scrambling to spend all of their department's allocations so they would qualify for more. UfOs are probably nothing compared to some of the reasons employees found to justify their spending.

Oh yeah, I've seen that happen, particularly regarding travel allocations. But it's not limited to the government; it's something just about all companies do too (or perhaps departments within a company) because their yearly funding is largely based on previous years expenditures. Government certainly does it though. I've seen military members pour diesel fuel on the ground because if it wasn't "used" they'd not get as much the next year.
When someone becomes "an expert" on something, they have spent years investigating and spending your own money to research the subject. The obvious next step is to write a book -yes?
So, folks who think this, maybe you can suggest what can be done - either the expert is accused of promoting their own books etc or they do not share their knowledge with the world.

The 'experts' chose their direction and that is how they make their money. Then you toss in politics and political payback and it all makes a great story.
