By fighting for 'our side' we only increase our blood pressure and get angry or frustrated at the other side for their opinions and attitudes.

I think there are some forces at work which do not want us to think, debate, and reason and when we do, there are people on forums like this who are paid to discredit, deny, and spread disinformation. Even the Japanese government actually advertised for people to help them counter negative and untrue opinions back when Fukushima was blowing up and burying itself.

If the Japanese government do it, then I am totally positive other governments hire people to put forward their official point of view and discredit others and deny the truth.

Bigfoot, if it exists, is going to be a political nightmare due to the changes and laws which will need to be passed if a sentient intelligent 'animal' is found. It will also cause loss of income for the Parks Dept and problems for the police and wildlife departments. Not only that, there will be a discussion on religious grounds, do they have a soul? Are they animal or human? Where do we all come from - not Adam and Eve anyway. I am sure there are more problems arising from Bigfoot discovery too.
If they do not exist then we have no reason to worry about laws or ethics regarding a new species. Their existence has yet to be proven. And this in not Japan; we are allowed to question when we see no proof!

Percentage-wise, VERY few make a good living hocking this kind of story, usually its the opposite that happens, it ruins their lives, careers, and makes everything more difficult.

Regardless; there are more scams than we have actual dead creatures that are available for study. Of course we do not have any after all these years.

On this forum most of us use avatars. Many of us do not tell others where they live; I do. I live in a small rural area with about 870 other people. But we do not tell others our names or whereabouts because we do not want crank calls or unsolicited advice on to be told how to spend our money. That said it also means that we have no way to actually check somebody's reliability. As far as we know we could be talking to an inmate in a metal hospital. Since we do not have direct contact with individuals we need a means to identify the truth. Scientific studies with good DNA results is one way to bypass the problem of anonymities. The research builds on other research and the creature's observations.

Only a hand, foot, etc or complete body will do it.

There have been a few scammers like anything else. You want to create another rabbit hole.

Who would try to do this? "to be told how to spend our money"

Here you had one of the Big Foot organizations that submitted hair to our FBI for testing in the 1970's and the results came back deer hair: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/05/fbi-...ents-show.html. It did not stop him; he simply ignored the results and kept on believing. But the title on his correspondence to our FBI said Peter Byrne 'director' of the Big Foot Information Center and Exhibition. So regardless of the evidence he continued to make money from his belief's.

That is not even mentioning Rick Dyer: https://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...icle-1.1594374. It gets pretty bad when you have to construct your own Big Foot!

On the subject of different kinds of cryptids; DNA is the logical path to pursue to identify if there is more than one species. So far all we are identifying is bear, goat, dog, deer and we do know that they exist and are not put together like Frankenstein!

Why is it so important that you spend so much time trying to get others to believe you? If you know that Big Foot is real; then isn't that all that matters? But you are not happy unless everybody agrees with your version of events; even if you have no proof. You have spent years on this forum trying to get others to believe that everything you say is exactly the way you describe it. I have heard you describe how to hang aluminum pans to attract them and how spot twisted trees that they used for some purpose. But I have never heard you talk about collecting evidence that could prove they were there.

Get us some DNA so we can figure out what you have been talking about and lay this matter to rest.

Don’t you get calls about Social Security scams, the people that want to sell you new windows or a new roof or gutters?

Car warranty companies, real estate sales, police and fire charity scams, your grandson is in jail and need bail in iTunes cards. The IRS is coming to arrest you. The jury duty police are coming to get you, unless you wire money.

That’s the ones that leave messages. I get calls who don’t leave messages, heavens knows what they want.

Don't forget to add power company scammers and the one that has been pestering me almost daily; the extended warranty outfits. Most of the calls are simply robocalls;

But I keep trying to bring us back to the subject. Unfortunately we will never agree without substantial proof (including DNA). DNA would either show that there are several kinds of Big Foot creatures or maybe no kind of creature.
