Why? Just because I disagree with yo on some things doesnt mean I disagree with you on everything. Although I dont think for one minute there some mythical creature walking around mutilating cows, I stil find the ET side of it interesting.
Dragon got all bent out of shape last season because he felt disrespected because he didn't have a PhD. Travis has a boatload of advanced degrees, and that other scientist, Jim Something, who was on last season, has even more advanced academic credentials. I noticed the latter was missing from last week's show.
Dragon dumbs down the whole show. They shouldnt let him talk. Thinks he a tough guy with a shotgun. Idiotic.
It's actually the other security guy who carries the shotgun. I can't figure out when exactly they think a shotgun will be effective. Against an angry cow? An irate alpaca? Or maybe they're planning to shoot Travis in the season finale?

From what Ive heard, they have a lot of problems with people trying to sneak onto the property. I assume the gun is a deterrent.
If one of those people manage to sneak onto the property and are injured in some way (by anything), the owners would be liable. I can understand why they want to keep 'lookie lous' off the ranch.

it is almost as if Travis is taking on the narrator/presenter role perhaps?
Travis seems to overplay the redneck-ism, especially for someone with two PhDs and other advanced degrees. I suppose that came from his first series, "Rocket City Rednecks".
