The NDAA that passed in the House last night, was the first legislation to ever specifically address UAPs.
More at the link.
Quote:
Congress appears poised to enact legislation that would command the military and intelligence agencies to get a grip on "unidentified aerial phenomena," and authorizes the resources required.
WASHINGTON– (December 7, 2021, 1:45 PM EST) – With the unveiling today of legislative language already agreed on in negotiations between key lawmakers meeting privately, it is likely that Congress will soon send the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community a set of emphatic statutory commands regarding Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (or UFOs, in common parlance).
The content of the UAP language agreed on by key negotiators from the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services committees is being reported and analyzed in detail here for the first time anywhere.
The UAP-related provisions are included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) now being advanced under the bill designated S. 1605. I will sometimes refer to the new UAP text as the "Gillibrand-Rubio-Gallego" language, or "GRG." The UAP-related language is contained in Section 1683, covering 15 pages of bill text. Images of the UAP-related pages appear at the bottom of this article. [Update: December 7, 2021, 10 PM EST: The U.S. House of Representatives this evening passed the negotiated NDAA bill (S. 1605), including the strong UAP provisions described in this article, on a roll call vote of 363-70, and sent the measure to the U.S. Senate.]
I read the unwritten message underlying the bill language as something like this: We, the Congress, have concluded that Unidentified Aerial Phenomena are serious business. We want you to start treating it as serious business: Get your act together and get a grip on this problem! Expect to be held accountable.

Yes, I just read MUFONs opinion on this and it seems they are upset they are not being chosen to head this new agency, apparently the Pentagon/military will run it, (no surprise there!)...The Pentagon said it will divulge data...as long as it does not involve a national security threat! LOL
So, we will likely see NOTHING...considering all UAP/UFOs are technically 'threats to security', because their motive, origin, etc are not known, (so we are told anyway). I wouldnt expect this new agency to release much of anything.
But as Ive said before...if the operators of these craft wanted to show themselves...they could do it any time they liked, no govt on the planet could stop them or hide it...(there is some reason they prefer to stay in the shadows), add to that, the govt itself wanting to keep it all quiet...My guess is, not looking good for the general population.

MUFON? Seriously? They've been unable to keep their own house in order, and they think they ought to be given operational authority over the Defense Dept and the various intelligence agencies?

This is so pointless...they already have an agency tasked with this! LOL
All they have to do is remove the redacted portions on a few documents and we would know exactly what agency this is.
