I was watching am old history show last night and her name came up. The show was about so-called prophets and the debate over interpreting their often vague predictions. Of course I had heard of Nostradamus and a few other notables, but I'd never heard of Baba. So now I'm reading up on her and wondering how many of her prophesies have come to light, and how many were simple musings.

I chose this link to share out of the many online, simply because it is reader-friendly and gets to the meat of it, not because I agree or disagree with the NY Post, who apparently lifted it from The Sun, who probably "borrowed" it from another publication. I'm not saying I believe full-on; I'm not dismissing it either. Just wondering how many of you have heard of her and if you take stock in any of it.

The name wasn't familiar, but when I clicked the link and saw her picture, she was one I've seen in the past.

I think prophecies are typically so general in nature, that a lot of happenings can be fitted into the prediction. The frozen virus is pretty specific though, and it's one that sort of makes one concerned since the permafrost seems to be melting. It's certainly not beyond possibility, and if I recall correctly, scientists have recently thawed a virus frozen for several thousand years and it did indeed rebound. Whether dangerous or not, I don't know.

I had heard of Baba Vanga. In fact, just yesterday I was telling my husband about her.

She sounded like someone who was really in touch with her ESP.

Sadly she had a lot of terrible depressing predictions, but that was also a reflection of her times, which were hard. & Her native culture encouraged people to be realists about every day life.

Americans by comparison are "sunny idealists." Baba Vanga was typical of her time.
