What would happen if they show us, with undeniable proof, that they did indeed create human life on Earth?
It would be fascinating. But that still isn't what Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Hindus mean by "God."
If your premise did come true the proper response to the aliens would be, "Cool! So who made you?"
Once you get to the Uncaused Cause or the Unmoved Mover, then you might kinda/sorta be getting close to the Judeo-Christian or Hindu understanding of God. But aliens, by definition, cannot be that.
Your premise would indeed upset the fundamentalists. But the fundamentalists are a minority within all the major Faiths of the world.
I have 2 questions. In your expert opinion how likely is it things are going to change? is it a low chance like 5% or a very high chance like 95%? Also you say soon. Is soon a week, a month, or a year. I would think anything over a whole year could not be considered soon, do you agree? Thank you for the post and your reply.
IMO a whole year could definitely be "soon" in the grand scheme of things. Taking into account the average age of C-D posters, I'd say 1 or 2 years could be "soon". But the OP mentioned something about "after mid-term elections". So, within 6 months is plenty soon.
I remember thinking if 'disclosure' doesn't happen by 1993, it never will. Interested in the subject since 1973. I hope your right OP but it (disclosure) sorta' happened already with the Navy releasing videos and our military saying, they are there , don't know what though. Obama, Clinton, long list of people admitting they exist. What might happen is something from the Webb telescope or announcement about Mars. Even with this, we still have bills to pay, right?

I grew up Fundamentalist. I've often thought that the Bible was written for humans. Of Earth.
If there are indeed other worlds and other alien species, perhaps they have their own Bible, and their own blue prints of how to live life which might be different than ours.
But OUR Bible says that the world was without form and void, and that God separated the day from the night and made the moon for the night, and the sun for the day...so that makes me think he made all the planets in our solar system...at least.
To my mind, anything beyond our solar system could be anyone's guess.
Aliens are here, and they’ve been directly involved with us since our inception. They can basically do anything they want to us. Including altering our genetics, DNA and evolutionary path. A.k.a. they likely created us and put us here. And yes they do experiments on us, they monitor us, they’ve highbred with us and their technology is so far beyond anything any of us can comprehend that even the most brilliant minds who have been working on back engineering things for decades haven’t even put a dent into understanding their technologies.

If OP is correct, we have no choice but to consider that the aliens may indeed be what we have been calling God. When the Bible was written there was no way to describe an advanced being from another star that had the ability to manipulate DNA or even create life so the authors used "God" as a descriptor catch-all term for what no one could comprehend at that time.
I look forward to meeting our Creators. Church services next year will obviously have to be a little different. I wonder if they will continue demanding that we worship them.
This was a theory even back in the late 1960s with the Star Trek episode "Who Mourns for Adonais". It was about the ancient Greek gods being aliens that came to earth a few thousand years ago and were worshiped by humans, giving us Greek and Roman mythology. The episode was specifically about Apollo.
Earth people advanced, learned new technology and religions and no longer worshiped these gods. The gods (aliens) who saw earth people very much as their children, to nurture and care for, left the earth broken hearted.

If you read the story about when Jimmy Carter was debriefed by the CIA and what led up to that it does make you wonder. There is a story behind it. Jimmy Carter, although he wasn’t the greatest president was probably the nicest most sincere man to ever sit in the Oval Office. He also was a very strong Christian. Perhaps a bit naïve as he was a peanut farmer from Georgia. But nonetheless a very nice sincere guy. Well before he became president he witnessed a UFO with a small group of other people. He was quoted as saying he will never ridicule anyone again who says they saw something, because he had seen one himself. Very clear and reasonably close up. When he was elected president he vowed to get to the bottom of the truth. His supporters waited eagerly. Now the way it works is presidents are only told the details about UFOs on a “need to know basis“ some get told a little more than others. But nobody that’s president ever gets told everything. Curiosity is not “need to know“. Jimmy Carter pressed on. Wanting to keep his promise. He met with many high-ranking intelligence officers in the CIA in 1977. When he came from the meeting he sat down put his head in his hands and cried and was visibly shaken. He was noticeably shaken for about two weeks after that. He cried for about 45 minutes. The story goes that he was told that aliens are on earth, they come from many places, they’ve been here all along, they created us, and they also created all the religions to prevent us from destroying ourselves. The idea was that humans would only protect their immediate family in their more primitive states. But religion gave them a reason to formed communities, larger bonds, and protect the masses. Yes I know millions of people have died in the name of religion over the years but overall many if not most of our societies have been built based on religious beliefs.….The US government had an agreement to allow them to do experiments on us. Basically we lived on this earth as a giant alien experiment. They can do whatever they want with us. It’s completely shattered Jimmy Carter’s world. As you can imagine. He decided he was not going to reveal what he was told and became very tightlipped. At book signing one day, sincere person asked him what he knew about the topic. He looked down at the table for about 30 seconds and then looked up at the person right in the eye and said “I wish I could tell you but unfortunately I can’t“. The witness said he looked like he was ready to cry again.

[1:26] Then God said, "Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."

I have never heard of any of this stuff. Yes I've heard of alien abductions , and that the gov had secrets in some area somewhere, and about a couple yrs ago that were abducted and I read a book Whitley Strieber wrote about his abductions.
That pretty much sums up my knowledge . I am not saying I believe what the OP is saying , nor am I saying no way. To me the idea of being created by some other beings that are much smarter than us (seriously not tough to believe , we have proved to be not at all smart) is much easier to believe than the idea of a magic guy in the sky , that punishes us , will banish to hellfire forever, and worse BUT HE LOVES US ! With basically the only reason he will banish us to torture forever is we don't believe in him. Oh yes , and he grants favors or not if we pray.
I as of this moment don't believe in either one. I don't blindly believe anything. But how I feel about either one if one of them is our creator and have been watching , and have had the power all along to change our circumstances, is the same.
Which is they so far have done a horrifying , criminally , bad job, of watching over us. GOD OR ALIEN makes no dif to me, whichever it is needs to start fresh and give us true choice. This batch has been made defective, we didn't choose that. We have hate, jealousy,killer instinct, and on and on. We are a bad batch. The few of us who don't live in pure misery , still go through so much difficulty in life, and heartache. The majority of humans throughout time have suffered terribly every day of their existence. On top of that , disease, humans that take pleasure in making misery. Child abusers , serial killers, and countless others we don't even realize. And this has gone on forever.....what kind of creator , that has even a small amount of goodness , even if we are a test , would allow this to go on all of this time. Any decent creator, god,owner of the experiment would have said long ago ..OK CANCEL TEST. Stop this suffering , I can't stand watching these people I have made torture each other. They are alive , they have feelings, what we/I have done is criminal.
So on that note , my money says , NOBODY IS GOING TO CLAIM US.. be they Aliens, God, or who knows who, are most likely in hiding denying anything about us.
