Okay, there's been mention of crop circles over in a thread in the Christianity forum, with differing opinions of what they are, who makes them, and why.

This thread is for anyone interested in crop circles to insert any opinions and ideas about crop circles. Personally I find them an interesting 'phenomenon', and some are quite intricate and beautiful, but I do think they're man-made. However, if you think they're from elsewhere or else-who, feel free to tell us what you think about them!

Well, here's my answer copied from my response from the other thread.

The original designs are not of this world. There are Celestial Architects and former humans (assisting) in the designs.

No personalities are involved in the applications. They are 'minded' machines that produce the circles. They exist outside our range of vision, because like the Secondary Midwayers, they dwell in a nearby segment of time (the Morontia Realm -- our space, their time).

The crop circle is a gift to humanity, it is also much like a vitamin B shot for this earth. It is generally positioned directly over an underground stream, which spreads the positive energy, and the subsoil is always porous if not containing chalk.

They're obviously made by human beings and as more people have gotten into these crops circle clubs they've gotten better and more intricate in design. I've seen a number of interviews with people who admit that they create these designs and formulate a plan for how to construct them. It's nothing high tech, just lengths of rope and wooden planks to flatten the crops. I find it entertaining to see people who believe they're extraterrestial or supernatural and you see them with electronic gadgets and all sorts of wild theories. Personally I think that if aliens were visiting our planet they'd probably be a little more advanced than to engage in such behavior as making patterns in crops or mutilating cattle but that's just me.

The man made ones have broken stalks whereas, the beings I described in my post leave nothing broken. That's the difference between what man makes and what the visitors make. And if you do the reseach as to the streams and chalk, you will find I'm right. So far, all the web pages I've seen do not mention any porous soil or chalk, only the streams. Go to one of the designs and check the soul beneath.

OP - hoaxes, according to the Discovery Channel:
Discovery Channel - Conspiracies and Myths - Places - Crop Circles

I thought this was reported as a hoax in some news channels - and National Geographic- too.

How can people think that these crop circles are man made? Have you seen some of them? In England we have loads of them, where I live - they are common. some very simple ones could be man made....but the complex ones? How on earth would some humans (who are fallible) make a complex crop circle, in the pitch black, in 5 hours (summer time nights are shorter obviously), with no tracks shown going to or from the crop circle made? And NO mistakes!! A friend of mine has a farm. He woke up - massive, complex crop cricle on his land!!! No one heard a thing, it just appeared.

Also interesting fact - there is a kind of 'energy' surrounding these crop circles. A load of birds flying over one, would seperate into two groups rather than fly directly over one.
A dog will run away from a fresh crop circle, they show fear about going near one.
Some people have complained of headaches, dizziness when entering a new crop circle.
Dead animals have been found inside crop circles (!)
With sort of ashes and black stuff around (!)

so, my opinion is they are supernatural....another thing to make these sad athiests think.....hey, maybe there is something out there people?!!!!
