Saw this video today that was recently posted on youtube. Looks pretty convincing. What do you guys think?
The real problem is that people have started using YouTube as an authoritative source. Star Wars was a pretty good production too...but it doesn't mean that you have to worry about being threatened with a light sabre when you're walking down the street.
Unidentified Flying Object... Yes. From another planet... No. Show me something from, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., The Abyss, Independence Day, etc. on Youtube (preferably in-person) then maybe. Simply UFO's do exist because we can't Identify all Flying Objects. I do however, strongly believe that WE ARE NOT ALONE. Just stranded.
Years ago, I would have been skeptical about UFOs. These days, not so much. Consider that everyone is more or less walking around with a personal camcorder/camera on their cell phones. We've captured all sorts of amazing things on video A few examples: the landing of that plane in the Hudson river, the collapse of that bridge in Minnesota, earthquakes, the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami! Hell, in 1972 someone caught The Great Daylight Fireball (wiki/youtube it). The quality of that video, which was COMPLETELY by chance is far better than any recent UFO video.
Point is, someone would have twittered it by now. If there was one real incident, you would have tens of thousands of people with pictures and videos of it. But, they don't exist. And there is no reason why they would not post it. Again, consider the ease of which people these days can communicate with the world. Its not like I'd have to capture video and run to the nearest NBC/FOX/CBS affiliate and convince them to air my video.
I can do it myself and spread it quicker than TV. And I wouldn't be the only one. Take those "Arizona Lights." If they were indeed a UFO and not something else, then thousands of the 1.5 million residents would have caught something from an angle that showed something of substance.
If anything, all the Ufologists out there are crying wolf and when/if the day comes and there is a real alien spacecraft out there, we will be skeptical.
