I have a MSc and a BEng(H) in Civil Engineering, the Master degree was focused in structural design. My academic formation was done in Portugal but is accredited by ICE.
Since I don’t have any interesting (or boring) job opportunities in here I’m going to relocate to Peterborough in 2 weeks.
I have applied mainly to graduate training schemes but those only starts in later 2012, meanwhile I will need to work, preferably in engineering, but I’m not a UK graduate nor have any job experience because of that I believe it will be really hard to enter the market. Because of that the big companies training scheme are more suited to my profile.
What types of jobs, outside structural design, are best suited to my formation and to create a good impression in the recruitment representatives? Should I relocate to another area of England to achieve my goal?
