My husband will be travelling to England on Mar 2nd, he'll be visiting his family so I want to send over some things with him, some things being homemade jams for example. I looked here Personal food imports « Defra but I'm still a little unsure since the jars I use are not sealed by the manufacturer. Also another thing I want to clarify is it says "2kg total weight combined per person – bivalves (live), egg products, eggs and honey." "2kg total weight combined per person – certain fruits and vegetables" so hypothetically I could have 4 killos combined so long as it's 2kg of the first category and 2 kg of the second category?

I think jam would be fine, homemade or otherwise, but you can call them or email them for a definite answer.

Thanks for the info, it's too bad they can't be more clear on their website, but I've noticed the UK Government's websites in general tend to send people going around in circles :P

Yup, I saw something on TV where even someone who won the TV show Mastermind has difficulty figuring out how to pay the damn energy bills.
