Default Breathalyser Required In France!

Were you, like me, ignorant of the fact that are dearly beloved near neighbours, the French, are introducing this new requirement?

The Local - Government confirms new breathalyzer law

I find that a bit irksome as I don't drink yet am required to have one in my car, together with a high visibility vest, warning triangle, spare spectacles and God knows what else.

I thought that I'd spread the word, and wonder if you think, like me, that the Frogs will use this as a revenue generator.

I've driven on the continent quite a few times with the usual stuff in the boot you've mentioned but i was completely unaware of a need for a breathalyser.

I think you may be right about the revenue generator, in the past i've been stopped vary rarely but it's always been for those random checks. They do have a particular interest in if you have all the correct equipment and in all honesty since it's the law, they should.

Amazon.co.uk: french breathalyzer

Incase you wondered what they were like (i had to look it up).

Here's your "All Inclusive" bundle.
