I'm a New Yorker with a lovely apartment to rent on a short term basis (days, weeks, one or 2 months) to travelers visiting New York City. What I'd like to know is where do you look online when you want to find living accommodations such as what I have to offer where you'd be given the keys to a fully furnished apartment containing all one requires for to live as a citizen of the city instead of having a hotel experience. I'd say our most popular site for such things in the US is craigslist.
The economy being what it is, renting out my NYC flat has become something of a necessity. If anyone knows and is wiling to post the name(s) of the most popular or best websites for finding non-commercial (private homes versus hotel/motel) US accommodations (sites that are free to post to would be preferred but a really great website that charges a fee would be excellent) or if anyone has advice that they'd be willing to share, I would be most grateful for their help. Thank you for reading.
