Another vote for the new Triumph. Japanese quality, British style, they don't (except for the Daytona sorta) look like insects. I'm getting tired of that look.
Scotch-once bitten by the scotch bug you'll never be the same. We carried home a bottle of Laphroaig quarter cask that is so wonderful I can't even describe it.
I am an American. I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The short answer: YES.
When I think of British products, I think of high quality ... everything from Burberry's garments to Wedgwood and Spode dinnerware to Cheddar and Stilton cheeses.
Used to mean high quality, not anymore sadly. Wedgwood isn't even made anymore, is it? Back when I was a kid my gram brought me back a jump rope from England with ball bearings! British steel was the best, I think. Just about anything from England was considered superior to American junk. Now no matter which country you go to it's all Made in China.
So very true, there are so many wonderful varieties of British cheeses. The only time I can get them in SC is Christmas when the local supermarkets try a little bit harder, although they tend to be very expensive... Worth it though.

I guess maybe compared to American chocolate (apart from the likes of Ghiradelli). European chocolate is the best though.
