- more into "layers" they mix and match different types of fabrics. and not into as much color coordination as Americans. overall more flair and individual dressing styles

- more trench coats, peacoats, Welly boots, scarves (on men too). Yes I guess weather related.

- no baseball caps
- no boat shoes
- no polo shirts (US/ Cape Cod style). yes I know they wear soccer-team collared shirts. UK men seem to also be more open to V-neck shirts with different types of graphics

What other clothing/ style differences do ppl acknowledge between the UK and USA?
Ok its trousers. All of my trousers (i dont really wear trousers) or jeans go right down to my shoes not 3/4.
What on earth are boat shoes. And we do wear polo shirts.

Actually the Uk is not even the second-most obese country in Europe.
The most recent percentage figures for European BMI indexes amongst European men are

Ireland 27.7

Malta 27.7

Andorra 27.6

Spain 27.5
Cyprus 27.4
UK 27.4
Luxembourg 27.4
Germany 27.2
Iceland 27.2
Israel 27.1

Worldwide Europe lags well behind the United States and even some statistical anomalies such as
various islands in the Pacific where the vast majority of the population is obese.

I'm not saying the UK isn't catching up because it is but lets no bandy around nonsensical information as fact.

Indeed - the UK is nowhere near as obese as the US. I hate these media cliches of the UK being the fattest country in Europe - how do they get away with publishing incorrect information?

UK and Ireland are the fattest.. malta is full of brits so no surprise.

Scotland is the place in Europe where I have seen the most fat girls .. followed by england and Ireland.

Welsh seem to be a bit less fat than rest of Britons.

IN continental europe I have seen more than a few overweight people in Iceland and Finland, although the levels are still considerably behind britain.

The most slim must be Italy, romania, netherlands, norway and switzerland.
