I would have to say that the vast majority of religious people that have caused me concern either physically or intellectually have not been Muslims.
Most religions have zealots and radicals whether obvious or not. Religious fanaticism comes carrying many a different book.
Right, because Christians, Catholics, Jews, Hindus, and other non-muslim religious followers are committing terrorist acts in the name of their religion around the world on all continents except Antarctica since the 1970s to today.

Let's see; multiple passenger airline hijackings, cruise ship hijackings, 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, 2 USA embassies in Africa bombed, USS Cole bombed, beheading hostages around the world, blowing up movie theater in Russia, shooting children in the back before blowing up a school in Russia, bombing various non-military targets around the world, and many many more, all in the name of Allah!
Part of the reason for the lack of trust is the number of muslims born and raised in western nations who have attempted terrorist attacks in the name of Allah as well as groups of muslim men trying to enforce Sharia law within their neighborhoods against non-muslim people. It's one thing for these extremist to come from places like Africa, Pakistan, and Pacific islands. One can point to the turmoil of the regions (political, military, and economic) as the cause. But when you have muslims born and raised in England, France, & USA also becoming extremist, then the only common denominator is their religion. This means they're being indoctrinated into terrorism through their community and or mosque. It's not uncommon for them to say peaceful things in the language of the country they're living within and saying something else in their native language.

Bearing in mind that there are 1 billion Muslims in the world and the vast majority of them do not want participate in terrorist attacks, I suppose Muslims are the only group in the world that involve themselves with ''far right'' ideas.

While they don't participate in terrorist attacks, many support such attacks either through excuses for the attacks or through financial support of terrorist organizations posing as muslim aid organizations. Several years ago here in USA there was a muslim doctor and muslim martial artist who were caught trying to offer their services to terrorist organizations.
