Asda = Walmart. Basically the same only Asdas tend to be cleaner from what I've seen.
Well, no - Asda existed before it was bought by Walmart. It is US-owned but not culturally an 'import' like Starbucks or Burger King. It's like the difference between Nissan and Range Rover.

I know some American Football is played here but baseball and basketball? There's already the boring game of cricket, why would they do the boring game of baseball?
Some of those brands only have one or a few stores. I think Planet Hollywood and Ben & Jerry's only operate in London, but I might be wrong. Seems they exist for tourists mostly - in Leicester Square.
