It would make it a lot easier for tourists and driving would be inline with the rest of the EU.

Because the UK wants to be exceptional within Europe and/or European Union.

Well, it would make it easier for Americans to drive over there when they visit.

I doubt it, UK cars are manual and most American's wouldn't know what to do =)

I thought this discussion was here already anyway, ill look for the post later. Left hand drive makes more sense when it comes to dominant hands and eyes anyway.

Why should Britain switch to right hand traffic just to satisfy EU tourists?

Maybe the EU should switch to left hand traffic to satisfy British tourists?

By the way, Japan, Australia and New Zealand drive similarly to Britain.
