Glad you two liked it.

Jezer, the sound of a Vulcan's engines winding up is out of this world.

Guess that's another thing to add to my list of favorite sounds. lol

This is becoming a list of man made sounds, but I used to live in Fairford where the Concorde was being tested at the local airforce base.

I wouldn't descrbe it as the best sound in the world, but I've been close enough to tell you that it's the noisiest sound that I've ever heard.

BTW, I once saw three Concordes flying together. Pretty cool for a kid at the time- pretty cool full stop.

At the other end of the spectrum I have just been down the road from here and heard- nothing.

Total quiet.

Gorgeous.

Almost always, silence would be a preferred alternative to any man-made sounds, including 99.9% of what is called music these days. But I do like trains in the night. Here in South Texas, we have Great-tailed Grackles, which give towns a lovely jungle-bird sound. My favorite bird sounds are Yellow-headed Blackbird,

The worst sounds, in no particular order -- barking dogs, crying babies, music with a loud drum beat and/or no discernible melody, which is almost all of it.

Total quiet is great. That's why I love going to northern Ontario.

Another man made sound I love, is hearing the lake freighters in the Detroit river, sounding their fog horns as they round the bend.

Listening to the waves with the seagulls in the distance, while feeling the warm sunshine and ocean breeze. I also love being in the mountains and hearing a natural spring flowing. It is so peaceful. I also like listening to the rain.

Lying in bed with the windows open, listening to the wind moving through the trees. Very comforting.
