1. Beer is awesome if a bit warm.
2. Women are built for comfort rather than speed. (same could be said about the lads - ok forget this US is worse)
3. People talk funnier the further North yee go. (opposite of the States)
4. There's a Council for pretty much any/everything.
5. Say petrol not gas, cashpoint not ATM, crisp not chip, chip not fry, biscuit not cookie. (awesome selection BTW)
6. Take your heart medicine before buying gas I mean petrol - sticker shock is delayed by the liter pricing. Feel free to weep openly.
7. You don't need a gun, just carry some pound coins in a strong, long, dirty sock - devastating! (combine with Xena warrior yell)
1. Health service that won't nickel and dime you. Politics isn't a huge deal. Nudity and swearing on regular tv channels.
2. You actually get time off work. Alcohol at business meetings. Jobs are far more secure, with redundancy too.
Lived in the UK for 5 months, never saw any nudity on "regular" TV channels. If there was any, it was probably after the watershed, which is also legal in the US by the way.
While the UK is certainly not as Puritanical as the US when it comes to sex and nudity, they are still somewhat embarrassed and considered it course to discuss it on public (in contrast to most other European countries).
I say the few bad things of the UK are the weather, passive aggressive culture, and surveillance cameras everywhere (including washrooms and locker rooms).
But if you do not mind those things, the UK is slightly better off than the US.

I've never been in a locker room or washroom with surveillance cameras!
Given you pay in dollars, I'll think you'll find that isn't the UK
