I don't hear any Beyonce music on Pandora so she's obviously not famous.

I don't know the names of any TV chefs so obviously no one else does either.
Exactly!

The Magna Carta influenced the Bill of Rights - which is considered to be the holy grail of the U.S. Constitution. The Royal Stock Exchange predates Wall Street by more than 2 centuries. Adam Smith is considered to be the father of capitalism and the free market economy. John Maynard Keynes is probably the second most famous economist in the western world, including in America.

Really? You know no one that watches Dr. Who? I find that really hard to believe unless your all your friends are the type that think the WWE is real and the pinnacle of TV viewing.

I am very familiar with that (actually the Bill of Rights was based on the English Bill of Rights rather than the Magna Carta), hence why I said influence had rather than has. No sensible person would ever doubt the influence that Britain has had on American history, or on much of the world.

Going to fall asleep watching an episode of the Gervais/Merchant/UK version of The Office, which seems to have been rather influential.

"Three's Company" was actually based on a British show called "Man About The House"

They are going to air the season premiere simultaneously in movie theatres across the USA. Pretty good for a show no one watches.
