Its on the news just now discussing having a £50 fine brought in for drunk patients who cause bedlam in waiting areas ... now firstly, drunks wont have £50 on them.. and wont pay it even at a later date... its not about money... its to do with people who are genuinly in pain , maybe with serious aliments who have to watch and listen to this abuse being fired at staff and patients... I myself had a three hour wait in our A&E with a bone in my foot broken in severe pain with a drunk or junkie being sick in a corner at the back of the waiting room and not a thing was done about it.... even the drinks and sweets machine was removed with drunks and neds kicking and wrecking them.... Now they have cameras in all these hospital waiting rooms so why not jail the lot of them and refuse treatment.. at least till they calm down.. fines will do nothing and cost the courts more..
