I'm not defending Clarkson. Personally, I find him to be a bore and Top Gear to be boring. My point is that he and his pals will soon be snapped up by another company because money talks.

Really ?
I've worked all my life in the entertainment industry and I can assure you Clarkson is a hugely respected journalist and television presenter who, together with producer Andy Wilman, has created one of British television's outstanding worldwide successes.
He has scripted virtually every show and worked tirelessly to improve its production values and along the way assured the jobs of many hundreds of BBC employees.
The only people celebrating his departure in the " entertainment industry " will be painfully right-on,Hampstead sandalistas who run the BBC these days.
Clarkson,May and Hammond will be snapped up.And gratefully,by the BBC's commercial competitors who can't believe the Corporation's stupidity.

Kind of sickening how a lot of comments I read (not here) have somehow made Clarkson the victim in all this.

Most Public School kids have an arrogance in their DNA ( some state schools do too, I am sure), Clarkson went to Repton, though his background was not too posh. It stems from knowing that any crossing of the line will not have an effect on the bank balance stashed away, or the large family house(s) that isn`t Mortgaged. It makes them too cushioned and impervious. If I broke the law, received a criminal record I would lose my job and my mortgaged property. Shame I used to enjoy Top Gear.

I don't know where I'll have to go to watch the inane destruction of good cars now.
