OK, so Britain will have a partial eclipse tomorrow morning, but the weather down here looks absolutely overcast! Seriously what is the point of an eclipse when it will be overcast - just bloody typical!

Anyways, what do you think?
Do you have any knowledge about astronomy? feel free to add stuff on here...
How will you cope in almost 2 hours twilight tomorrow between 8 and 10 in the morning?

Was pretty cloudy for the 1999 one too but became noticeably darker.

Did you not see the one in 1999 Jas?

It's forecast to be partly cloudy here, so we might see something hopefully. It's supposed to be around 91%, so although not a full eclipse, it's still something I'd like to see.
Some astronomer in the local rag reckons that there will be no noticeable difference in the light, which surprised me a little. The power of the Sun I guess.

Yes I was 4, and I remember the day went to night... Being 4 I got a bit worried, but dad told me it's an eclipse and it will be over with soon. My Grandad also filmed the whole eclipse in Swanage, where there was a little bit of cloud break.

When the moon casts a shadow on the sun (From York Press)
Yea, I was wondering if it would actually affect the light... From what I've read, like news articles and my college website, seem to suggest that it will be like twilight for 2 hours, and the temperature may get colder... But I remember a partial solar eclipse in 2006 when I was 11 - and I didn't notice a thing!
