Blue is the most common eye colour in Britain, researchers found.

All eyes in the country were once brown, but a study revealed they are now 48 per cent blue, 30 per cent green and 22 per cent brown.

The study, which mapped out eye colour across the UK and Ireland, revealed that the Scots and the Irish are more likely to have blue eyes than others - especially those living in the south.
Scientists believe the reason
I was in the UK last week and I met up with some friends of mine (all who were British)
and there were 13 of us (including me)
and I was the only person there who didn't have blue eyes !
when I lived in the uk for most of my childhood I always felt outnumbered
by blue eyed people, I myself have light brown eyes
I never realised blue eyes were this common though !
I have brown eyes. My sister has brown eyes. Everyone else in my family has blue or green eyes - my mother included. My sister and I are different because our father is dark skinned so technically we are interracial, but we look like we are from the south of France so I just put myself as white on forms. If I told people that my father is dark skinned they'd be confused.

Well a lot of people have blue eyes probably most but there is still a large number with brown and hazel eyes. In my fathers family everyone has blue eyes.

Yeah but you said you have ethnic ancestry so that will be an influence.
