A BBC journalist is facing disciplinary action for killing off the Queen on Twitter after apparently mistaking a rehearsal of the announcement of her death for the real thing.

The Corporation apologised after Ahmen Khawaja, a broadcast journalist, sent a tweet saying: "'Queen Elizabrth has died [sic]':@BBCWorld"

I think this highlights one or two things, one being how 24/7 news is not necessarily a good thing, and also how standards of reporting have dropped.
