A BBC journalist is facing disciplinary action for killing off the Queen on Twitter after apparently mistaking a rehearsal of the announcement of her death for the real thing.
The Corporation apologised after Ahmen Khawaja, a broadcast journalist, sent a tweet saying: "'Queen Elizabrth has died [sic]':@BBCWorld"
Not even posting on this thread because if you post the words 'The Queen' and 'Dead' on the Internet and she isn't MI6 will kill you and shove your body in a suitcase.
I think this highlights one or two things, one being how 24/7 news is not necessarily a good thing, and also how standards of reporting have dropped.
