Spoken phonetically.

I've always wanted to say that to a Bostonian (don't care if they're native, or not, and an hour is in Boston by my reckoning).

Bucket List #455 check!.

Now to work on the Sofia Vergara list item far higher up the list.
They hear it all the time. Generally, feigned amusement covers for "boring".

Hey, I'm a Geordie, I know all about people making cliched phrases at me. I'm just getting a little payback.

Funny photos boston accent car keys khakis
That's so funny--and true. Now you see what I have to put up with!!!!

Most people don't speak that way (thank goodness) but sometimes there'll be an advertisement on the radio or tv with someone who has that accent and it drives me MAD! There's one on EVERY DAY who says something about having it in YA YAD. "Buy this and you can have it in YA own YAD."

(maybe it's an shed that you can have in your yard.)

Slightly off topic but in the US.. do you ever say..... I BEG YOUR PARDON.... it can be used in different ways..and said in different ways ........... for asking someone to repeat what theyve said..............A sign of disbelief or suspicion.. or to say sorry for something youve done as in apology ......Maybe it even has other meanings if anyone knows...
