Yes, Horlicks is really nice. It's got a sort of creamy, sweet, malted taste to it. I haven't had original Horlicks for years, either. Although I did get a tub of the chocolate version a while back. They also used to do Horlicks sweets, when I was a kid. They were really nice too.

The drink has been advertised over the years as something that would help you sleep, if you drank it before bedtime. Well, I've tried doing that - and it made no difference at all to my insomnia, surprisingly enough!

I used to eat it out of the jar by the spoonful and my son followed in my footsteps. I remember the Horlicks sweets too but eating the powder was even better. Must remember to get some again one of these days.

When I was a little girl, I always thought Horlicks and Ovaltine, were special drinks old people drank to shut them up from talking about "the good old days" lol

In truth I haven't tried either, so can't comment much; but I do like to take hot drinking chocolate to bed with me, as it helps get me off for the night.

Perhaps when I'm much much older I'll be drinking Horlicks so as not to burden with my (future) children with my ramblings about "the good old days", ha!
