Dave, its not just the North, but the area we live is starting to go downhill, it was once a very peaceful market town in Beds but now there are police helicopters overhead most nights, the town has grown so much, without the building of any roads ect: that the roads are busy even at 6 in the morning, not to mention the M1 at that time. There is now a cannabis seller renting nearby, police don`t seem to care about that and the people demographics of the area has changed. London is another story, lovely in parts but a ****hole mostly, occupied by extremely wealthy,or people who need help with renting.
Point is, the Keir Starmer`s of the world, tucked away in leafy Islington and Highbury Crescent, live in an absolute bubble.

Luckily, we can move to a place that once was, hopefully by next spring, a lot of working class Brits are stuck.

It was so predictably depressing that the toff Dominic Grieve has yet another power play to thwart a democratic purpose.

A week or two ago that clown Macron was crowing about how French bankers tax exiled in Britain should return home along with other high-flyers in the City of London to the glories of Paris.
Now he's struggling to stop France going up in flames with his own approval ratings in the toilet.
I love that German word schadenfreude.

In today's news

A poll conducted by YouGov, found that only Broxbourne and Christchurch supported Mrs May with 30 other constituencies saying they favoured a no deal Brexit. An overwhelming 600 seats said remaining in the European Union would be the best outcome for Britain

It's certainly going to be interesting on Tuesday, if the deals voted down, will Theresa May resign, will there be a leadership contest ???

they are talking about sending her back to the EU for another deal WHEN this one fails on Tuesday, there is talk of a Norway style deal or a no deal exit.
I really don't know why the politicians cant get their head around what leave means and it isn't the first two.

17.4 million voted to leave, the other 28.75 million are thinking it isn't such a good idea, now that the reality is sinking in.

I don't know where you get 28.75 million from, the vote was 52% leave to 48% remain.

17.4 million subtracted from the total electorate 46,148,000, the 52% is only 52% of people who decided to to vote that day.

only the people that could be bothered to vote, whichever way they voted, are included in the count, anyone who couldn't be bothered to vote well that's their problem.
I don't know how anyone expects their view to be taken into account if they cant be bothered to vote.
