There is a CD photography forum but I am sure we can mention a few tips here without getting into trouble - we were encouraged to start this thread by the lovely Cornerguy, he said he'd make it a sticky if it gets momentum!!

We can probably make a strong case that questions about specific photos would be on topic, but let's keep in mind that primary purpose of the thread is to display photos.

All budding shutterbugs are encouraged to check out CD's Photography forum. Plenty of good advice and people willing to answer questions over there. I believe they also have a periodic Photo Contest.

Nice shots, all.

I lived in Brighton for 6 months, but I did a bit of travelling across the UK while I was there and took lots of photos. If I posted all of them, I would overload the thread, but I figured I'd start with some photos of Windermere in the Lake District. Let me know if you want to see more.

Those are nice, Verseau. I love wooded walks like that when the sunlight just comes through and dapples the ground. I can only see 4 of the pictures unfortunately though - can other people see more?

Did you get any of the lakes with hills behind?

Just beautiful. Our house is in County Durham, on the N. Yorks and Cumbria border. We visited Windermere a lot, it would take about 90 minutes from our house. We are in Illinois now, very nice but not quite the Lakes.

Default Snow?

Does anybody have snow pictures? We've only got about a centimetre and it melted pretty fast in the sun
