Angela Merkel said some British people have "illusions" about discussing UK's future ties with the EU.

This is hilarious. Can't wait to read the responses in the British press and by CD posters.

This isn't even constructive, you're clearly just trying to wind people up at this point.

We have no illusions. We know the EU will try and stitch us up.

Can't we just keep all this Brexit stuff in a single place? Rather than red baron starting a new thread every time a politician gives a soundbite related to the issue?

Why would it be in EU's interest to stitch you up.

It has been mentioned a number of times that some EU countries, and specifically Germany have a major positive trade balance with the UK. Why kill the duck that lays golden eggs?

I very rarely start threads. As far as Brexit is concerned, let me repeat what I said before. I wish the UK well.

Time to give it a break.

Since the UK voted to leave the EU, you've started 7 threads related to Brexit.

Is that why you seem to gloat every time there's negative news related to Brexit?

Really? That's what about one every 4 to 5 weeks. Not to bad.

I am not gloating, just baffled as most negative news comes from the UK.

Now I am not accusing you, but there seems to be lot of posters always blaming and attacking the EU and specifically Germany. In the latter case WW2 is a favorite subject in many threads.

To punish us as a lesson to anyone else thinking of leaving. They may be prepared to damage themselves to show they mean business.

Leave it to those Germans, always rattling their sabers.
