In a recent case an American Judge went against the parents wishes and sided with the hospital in the case of a young child Steffen Rivenburg Jr - why didn't we hear Americans talking about this case.

A clear case of a Sarah Palin death panel, funny how the American Right highlights one case and criticises our system yet ignores cases in their own country such as Steffen Rivenburg.

The family said the baby should have had a heart transplant, but doctors at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital cared for the child and said he couldn't handle a transplant.

I can see the parents continuing their repellent behaviour even after Charlie's funeral.

I don't think there have ever been any definitive opinion polls on this as obviously it's a private matter but it does seem as though very few citizens have comprehensive private healthcare insurance.

Having said that though, insurers like BUPA are apparently poor value for money if you really want private healthcare cover.
