I did. I have never been there. Ok, so no culture. No problem. What is the city like?I am trying to get a feel for the city and what it has to offer. Is it bad, good, indifferent?
Thanks

Who said I had problems?

The countryside around the urban areas is lovely, and if I were to live around there, I would look at living in one of the villages in the vicinity.

If you have children that raises other issues.

Re prices of homes, google estate agents in the area.

Well, as someone said, the countryside being so closeby is probably the best thing about it. They have a really good Morrison's grocery store too.

I think it's one of the rainiest places in the UK due to being on the wrong side of the hills. It gets some snow in the winter.

It's a great jumping off spot for the Lake District, Manchester, and other attractions. I wouldn't mind living in the outlying areas of Preston.

A lot of the dirty old mill towns in the north have been revitalized and are thriving but Preston isn't one of them.
