Yes had a months rain in 1 night (friday night) here in North Yorkshire and many other parts of the UK. Severe flooding in many parts. One of my mates house has flooded for the 2nd time in a year. Only just moved back in as they house had to be dried out and cleaned.

I`m very lucky where I am..The places I have in Wales, and where the inlaws are down there, are half way up the mountain..If you`re in the valley then problems...The difference is in Wales we look after each other,,As they do in Yorkshire,,,,,,,Something I`ve not oft seen between..

I didn't even know there were floods until I read this. Haven't turned on TV this weekend was too pre-occupied with my house warming last night I guess. However it's being raining quite heavy in my neck of the woods and I have just turned on the central heating for the first time...I guess summer is over.

There were floodings in Ayrshire too, but not where i am. I feel lucky that i am not in a high risk area and that county borders mine.
