Default Great Britain Weather Statistics

Does anyone know of a good website to find weather statistics? I'm looking specifically for statistics on London, such as average rain/snowfall, (easy to find elsewhere) but I'm also looking for records of past weather events such as floods, thunderstorms, ice, etc. For the U.S., I look at the NOAA website for these types of statistics, but wondered if there was something similar for the UK?

Actually Wxunderground "history and almanac" is pretty poor in coverage for London and doesn't show the rainfall which doesn't help much if you want to plan out what times of the years are best and how often London has experienced flooding.

A good site to get info on that stuff is www.theweatheroutlook.com a private site with it's own forums with very knowledgeable members on past subjects.

A member named *Mr Data* posts a lot on historical aspects of the weather and he is fun to sift thru.
