Depends on your circumstance.. partner reasons, business, just looking to move etc etc

If you don't mind.. what makes you want to move to Cardiff?

Will be moving there with girlfriend. She has lived there most of her life.

Despite popular demand, there isn't a "shacking up with girlfriend" visa. So it's either a fiance visa valid for 6 months (during which time you have to tie the knot) or a work permit if you can get one.

If your a recent university graduate you can also get a "blue card" work permit valid for 6 months.

You can move to the UK as the partner of a UK citizen with no intent to marry them. UK Immigration and Visa Services - Unmarried Partners
