I just got back from the drive thru and I had a beef baja chalupa combo meal. If it makes you feel any better out there, they raised the prices of almost everything on the menu recently. Probably because of the recession and people like you leaving and costing them business. j/k

That's not at all true.
The original poster merely misses Taco Bell and made an inquiry to see if they may find one in their new territory.
To turn that into what sure sounds like an "anti-American" thing is absurd.
England could use a couple dozen Taco Bells. That's just my opinion, and I am a citizen of both England and the U.S.A..

Yum Brands own Taco Bell, and are expecting to put some back in the UK late 2010/2011

More info on Yum.
KFC AND PIZZA HUT'S AMERICAN parent, Yum!, is considering bringing Mexican fast-food brand Taco Bell to the UK to take advantage of the downturn in the economy.
Yum! is continuing to expand KFC and Pizza Hut--which is rebranding some restaurants as Pasta Hut--to take advantage of UK consumers 'trading down' in the recession to cheaper food.
KFC, which has 780 units across the UK and Ireland, will open more than 45 in 2009 and is embarking on a 20m [pounds sterling]-25m [pounds sterling]-a-year refurbishment programme. It has a target of more than 350 KFCs and has invested in an improved menu and restaurant environment.
Yum!'s next stage of growth in Europe will be Taco Bell. It is drawing up a strategy for expansion in 2010/11 and next year, following a trial in Spain, plans to start a review of the potential to launch in the UK and the rest of Europe.

Eww, now if there's any American franchise British people should be scared of it's KFC. That's just nasty. You could get better fried chicken just attending a worship service at a Baptist church in Mississippi. And they'd probably give it to you for free if you recite some Bible verses or something.

Taco Bell rocks. Had it for lunch.
KFC is decent if I have it once every six months. I prefer Popeyes chicken.

Enjoy your Taco Bell, folks, but please don't confuse it with Mexican food. LOL
Taco Bell isn't even a great fast food version of Mexican food when compared to Del Taco, Taco Time or other such franchises.

True. Give me Chipotle any day over Taco Bell - and that isn't saying much.

It's a bit of a haul from Liverpool but if you are ever in Oxford, definitely seek out Mission Burritos. The menu is small but the food is first-rate. If you like Taco Bell, you will like Mission Burritos.
My, I'm getting hungry now just thinking about it
