So far as the weather debate goes.

Official figures are recorded by official Met office stations.
Airports have their own measuring stations, as do other organisations.

There are also many other private stations.

Temperature can vary, depending on geography.
It's not uncommon for it to be 18c here, and 25, on the other side of the hills. A straight line distance of some 15 miles or so.

Obviously, most cities are built around rivers, and tend to be on the coast. Coastal locations are often colder than inland, so the official weather station in Glasgow could possibly measure a different average than a station inland.

is a pretty good site, their forecasts are normally fairly accurate, and there's also a section where you can view a variety of climatical data for stations in your area, and around the whole world.

Okay so it's spring here in Northamptonshire today and 25C and I am going swimming in my pool. **sigh** Well, a girl can dream right?

LOL - Yep! I love carlsberg! Hubby and I did a blind taste test once against Stella and we both chose the Carlsberg (oh the exciting things we get up to when bored eh? LOL)
