Corpus Christi, eh? What the marina area of Corpus Christi looks like today.
As you can see, there's considerable fill to right of what used to be the Marriott over the past couple of decades, including not just buildings, but trees. I'm disappointed that such an old photo was used.
Btw, I think it's one guess per post. If someone can guess two cities in a single post, why not four or 10?

Looking at the rules, it is one guess per post; I would say multiple cities are OK as long as one says "Well, I know it's not Oslo so it must be Rio de Janiero" and not throws out every city over 200K in Texas.
It's a city with no charm to speak of and as you can see, no architecture worth noting. However, the key hint is that big red sculpture.
I meant Columbia University, but thanks for the hint. Caracas?
