OK. Head east from the previous city, and remember - this one's name has been changed not just once.

If I'm right, the clue was too good.
Petrograd, Leningrad, St. Petersburg?

Something a bit more boring. In fact, it's birthplace to the subject of a song where the singer keeps pleading, "I gotta get out of here."

Couldn't find a bigger picture, but will say that it's in a primarily English-speaking country and has a population around 50K. And that's the rest of the story.

I see a Bank of Kansas sign so maybe it's in Kansas?

"Get out of dodge" is a common phrase, so could it be Dodge City, KS?

The grain elevators say US Midwest. They're the really big storage elevators, such as in Enid, OK, but Enid's been done before. Old-style brick facade building (again, like Enid, and other mid-Plains towns). The clue refers to a number of songs, with "We/I gotta get out of here", Ian Hunter had one that referred to rodeos. Wellington, KS?

Sorry, had to work tonight, no access.

It is Kansas, but not Dodge City or Wellington.

The song is from the 70s (and it's not the title, but it is the top entry on YT for that phrase). And part of the clue seems to have gone right over the head of you younguns - one of the most famous lines in radio.

Well the only song I know with those lyrics is a Jimmy Croce song about NYC, which would make me inclined to say Manhattan, Kansas. However, After doing a little bit of research on Paul Harvey, I'll take a guess that it's Salina, Kansas instead.
