It DOES have a connection to Tacoma (Fort Lewis, now known as Joint Base Lewis-McChord). Washington's the correct state, just on the other side of Snoqualmie Pass. Yakima, Washington, home of the Yakima Training Center. I spent some very cold nights out there as an ALO.
