I won't harbor a grudge if you answer it, because no one else has made a guess.

OK, it's National Harbor, MD across the Potomac River from Alexandria, VA.

Been there several times:

Palm trees = subtropical or tropical. Right-side (US/Canada) driving. Weird pseudo-Mayan temple looking thingy. The freeway so close to the CBD is throwing me... not many places with a blend of old and new I can see with a freeway close-in. Just to get it started, Fort Pierce, FL?

Not Fort Pierce, Florida, but astute reasoning.

I think this city's been done before (after 831 pages, what city hasn't been done before??), but maybe the POV will throw you for a minute.

Whenever I have to attend a conference at Langley AFB, I fly into Norfolk. A few years back my wife and I stayed in VA Beach, and noticed that arena in downtown Norfolk before visiting the Wisconsin and Nauticus.

I was going to take a screenshot of that GEICO commercial in Norfolk but that skyline is pretty well-known.
