Tunis it is! I noticed only a part of the picture had been rendered in Google Earth, which could make confirmations difficult. The cathedral in the picture is right across the plaza from the enormous French Embassy. Tunis is a very modern city, and the site of ancient Carthage is only a short suburban train ride away. It’s a little further out to get to more ancient desert Tatooine....

Other than for the beer, I would not want to be there. Looks like a relic of the Warsaw Pact.

Pilsen (Plzen), Czech Republic.

Yes, Plzen it is. Quite the collection of “commieblocks”.

This one may be quite difficult due to vegetation and angle.

I think it might be Fort Worth, Texas. Looks like Burnett Plaza and the rest of downtown off in the distance. I’m guessing it’s looking east from near the Trinity River.

I took it yesterday from the POL site at NAS Fort Worth JRB, which is somewhat near the Trinity River; there is a barely-visible F/A-18 at the gate in the left-center of the pic. (My main HQ/employer is on that base.)

It’s always a bit sad and ironic to see a fine and majestic piece of military hardware stuffed and mounted, much like the head of a 12 point buck. Ok, here goes the next skyline...
