It is very compact. There are a lot more high-rises along the waterfront where I-64 ends, on Atlantic Avenue. Just out of view to the left is Mount Trashmore, a famous landmark.

Virginia Beach, stayed there a week a few years back. (The Boardwalk is actually concrete, just a big sidewalk.)
